The course is designed to help students learn what material is on the GED test, how to study for the GED test, and to learn and improve basic high school equivalency academic skills. The emphases are on development and strengthening of Reading skills, Writing skills, Math skills, Social Studies skills, Science skills, Computer skills, and Test taking skills. This course is also designed for the student to assess their own progress and learning during the program.

Each course is set up into 12-week Blocks throughout the year. The current Block is Block 5; Block 6 is scheduled to begin on January 23, 2017.
The cost for this course is a one-time, cash-only $10 registration fee, and this includes the lessons, the instruction materials, the GED Official Practice Tests, and Mesa Counts on College Access Center will cover the costs for the GED tests when you're ready to take them.
